Is it just me or is Vox laying down on the job?

I remember the old TIG and it always changed on the 7th day without fail. Is it just me or does it seem that with the new design things are not getting updated on any kind of regular schedule? I mean I feel like I've been looking at that penguin with snot in his nose for about a month! And if they change at all, they don't all change at the same time so you have to constantly visit the different channels to see if they've been updated....even after all this time, just still not lovin Vox as much as I did before the big re-org. It wasn't broke so why did you have to go and try to fix it?

I have noticed this too. Maybe it would help if we were all more active in suggesting new questions? I have been diong this with the main question and have had both my questions used fairly quickly - makes me think they may be experiencing a shortage of good questions.

Oh I so agree. The sameness of it all is boring me crazy! I guess it is a free service so the service can be nil. Boring.

I thought the same thing over the last couple of weeks. I get the sense that the folks at SA are working hard on other products and have moved vox to a "maintenance" routine. That's fine -- and in a way to be expected. I've learned to get around fine on this version, but I think its a "B" compared to the old "A" version.

Keeping things fresh is a hard thing to do unless you are being paid specifically to do so on a web site.
Rather than depend on a few refreshed images and questions on the over-all site, lets look at ourselves and utilize our neighbors as a way of staying connected and interested.
Together we have enough content to entice comments and look at new perspectives. Let us visit one another and depend on that for our reason for coming here rather than something less superficial.

I agree with you. I'm just going to do my blog and associate with the small group of people who read mine and whose I read. I haven't answered a QotD in about 2 months. I used to enjoy the site featured content but lately...it's like whatever. They keep featuring the same people over and over again instead of giving everyone the chance to have something from their blog featured.

i guess i am not on here enough to know what TIG is.

More rotation, more introduction of new people, maybe a feature to showcase people at their anniversary or something, a special post or meme for your anniversary that they'd post up... Something!
